Electronic media is the way to go, I’m not sure why these dinosaurs resist change. Paper media would have to be free to compete with electronic versions.

Some newspaper companies have opted to provide free online content and have more ads. Others have already been looking at subscriptions. If you ask me I think it is only fair that good content is rewarded and paid for accordingly. Its the only way to maintain the high quality of print media.

I agree with that there were a lot of people that borrowed above their means so now they are paying for it by struggling to pay their mortgages. But there are people didn’t borrow heavy and are struggling which is really bad for them and who should talk with their banks about what’s the best option and if they have to, foreclose or if by some miracle sell their house and try and get some money back.

That’s a very good point. I see it a lot here in Henderson as well. It’s always those hand full of homes which get swarmed by sellers. It makes it all the more difficult. I don’t know if buyers see it this way, but this is definitely something all agents should share with their buyers: if it’s nice, prepare for competition and multiple offers.

Yeah definitely a clash of fudiciary interests here. I can see why it’s illegal. Like PA said, there’s no way both agents could be holding the best interests of the client. What is surprising is why a client would want to do this in the first place. It just cries for malpractice.

It is nice of the government to take money from you when you need it most when going through the proceedings of a short sale. But like the article says it’s better than a foreclosure and you can recover quicker financially and get on with life and maybe try again, but better managed.

What a great article. I am actually working with an older couple now who are looking to pay cash. They say they have the money but not the time to wait on the market. So they are ready to buy! I feel that the market is getting better day by day.

The Internet has changed media forever – media and publishing companies need to keep up, or move out of the way. Blogs, wikis, social media etc. are faster, more convenient and more involving – I don’t even remember the last time I bought a paper, and I have no problem paying for online info if the quality is good.

Some ‘old school’ media companies are already charging for access to their online portals, or e-versions of their newspapers or magazines… I don’t see that as a problem, I’d rather pay for a subscription access to The Times or National Geographic and know I was getting great content than trawl through a ton of blogs to find the few gems in there.

However, for actual news (rather than article type journalism) blogs tend to be way faster – I’ll often see stories pop up in my rss reader 24 – 48 hours before they are on the mainstream sites, just because bloggers tend not to have to get past editors, and work all hours… I gues there’s a place for both!
