The March Sequim real estate report is worth viewing. The market has been picking up, and this information shows us a vignette of what is happening in Sequim. Active listings in March were down 25% from March one year ago. That’s proof of what I have been writing about on this blog for a long time–that our inventory of the best homes is shrinking. And here’s a another significant stat: the number of days on market until sold is down 27% from last year. Demand is up and supply is down. You know what that means.
The Sequim real estate market is not just showing signs of improving, it has been dramatically improving for months now. This is good news for sellers, and it is mixed news for buyers. The key for buyers now is not only finding the ideal home, but moving on it intelligently when you do. Knowing how to negotiate the best price can make a break your effort to close the deal, especially if there are other competing buyers for the same home.
